During the lockdown
During the lockdown I didn't do really that much stuff when me and my brother get bored we go to the the backyard and play cricket. The rules that we play are different to the actual rules in cricket. The rules that me and my brother play is. If the batter hits the ball and it bounce once and the fielder catches it with one hand the batter is out. Secondly since we have a small backyard if you hit it do hard and the ball goes over the fence and the ball doesn't bounce your out. After we played cricket we couldn't play on the ps4 because somehow the ps4 stopped working. Be safe and wash your hands.

Hi Yousuf,
ReplyDeleteIt's great that you're playing outside with your brother, enjoying the beautiful weather. How is your family doing? Have you been doing any inside projects or games? I've been doing puzzles. I have also been blogging and commenting.
If you want, you could check out my blog at https://wpsraeln.blogspot.com/
Enjoy the rest of this Easter!
Hi Yousuf, good to hear that you've been creative and modified the rules to your two person game. We used to play 'Quick Cricket' in the UK, the rules were that if you hit the ball you had to run between the wicket and a cone, but the tricky thing was as soon as the bowler had the ball in their hands, they could bowl whether the batter was back at the wickets or not. Which meant you got bowled out quickly and the batter changed regularly.
ReplyDeleteHave you had a think about what you might do as inside activities for the next few days while the weather is not great? You could play board games...and if you don't have any, you could design one!
Keep up with the blogging, it's great to stay connected during the lock down. You could check out other people's blogs, as Rael has suggested. There are lots of ideas of activities on their blogs.
Talofa Yousuf. It's great to read what you have been doing during lockdown and I'm not surprised you have been playing cricket. You love cricket! Did you see the news article about the family who has been playing letterbox cricket? They play it during their daily walk using the letterboxes they pass. Different coloured letterboxes represent different runs or rules, eg. a red letterbox = you're out., silver letterbox = 1 run and so on. maybe this could be something your try with your brother.
ReplyDeleteKeep safe and keep blogging!

Hi Yousuf, Cricket is a great sport, and you changing the rules to make it your own style game is a wonderful idea. My husband watches cricket with our cousin. They really really like to watch! Sometimes his wife and I watch with them. They get very excited! How often have you been playing cricket during lockdown?
ReplyDeleteNow term two has started, you have lots of ideas for schoolwork that your teachers have shared. It would be great if you blogged and shared your learning.
Stay safe in your bubble and we will see you when we are all back at school.
